Founded by award-winning independent game developer Ashley Gwinnell (prev: Force Of Habit, Game Jolt, Mediatonic) – IMPRESS is a complete toolkit for video game publishing. Marketing plan essentials, media monitoring & reporting tools, and audience & community growth metrics – discover, monitor, analyse, report – everything needed to grow a successful games business.
IMPRESS's first product – Coverage Bot (media monitoring) – tracks customers' game's mentions across the web, YouTube and Twitch, and notifies them in Discord/Slack, so they never miss a live stream event, ever again. Plus, tracking competitors, benchmarking, audience building, and influencer program, all coming 2023.
IMPRESS's second product – Press Kitty (presskit builder) – is a free service for indie game developers to easily create press kits for their studio and their games.
History
IMPRESS started at Force Of Habit as an internal tool to help the team with publishing bullet-hell party game Friendship Club (2015).
The platform's feature benefits grew in number through subsequent published game releases (Toast Time: Smash Up!, 2019) until founder Ashley decided the power of the toolkit could be better utilised by serving the independent games industry.
The toolkit has been largely rewritten from the ground up, and is now being offered on a subscription basis to indie teams, small publishers and PR agencies.
Force Of Habit as a development studio has since gone on indefinite hiatus, and founder Ashley's focus now is entirely on helping other indie game developers with IMPRESS.
